The setup seems well intentioned. Their Royal Highnesses, in Charlottetown, on Victoria Day…so of course why not put on a performance featuring the Fathers of Confederation, Anne of Green Gables and “The Queen.”
But then you watch it, you don’t laugh and you see Camila’s near death stare and the Prince of Wales’ meagre clap. All we’re left pondering is, “what were they thinking?”
(Perhaps Charles was thinking about the large wooden mallet he got to fool around with earlier in the day…)
